Be Thankful

Happy sweet morning to you all. I am feeling extra joyous with the holidays here and I am of thankful spirit and mind for all God’s blessings. As I look forward to spending time with family and friends I recognize how truly blessed I am to have each and every one of them in my life.

However, please let us not forget our friends, family, and neighbors that are grieving or still affected by the loss of a loved one. Please pray and reach out to those who are hurting this season. Also, ask God how you can be a blessing to widows, those that may be lonely, or going through hardship this Thanksgiving. A scripture that comes to mind is Matthew 25:40 which says,

The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.(NIV)

Some use this scripture in reference to the poor, but I believe “the least of these” refers to anyone in lack. Lack of joy, lack of peace, we all have those moments. Allow God to use you to encourage and lift someone up.

I am thankful God has provided new ways for me and my family to give to others in this season and I am excited! When we look beyond ourselves and to the needs of others we please the heart of God. Giving is truly better than receiving. Don't miss out on being a blessing to someone who truly needs it. Let us be followers of Christ and look for ways to extend love this season. We all have something to give, whether it be our time, resources, or other means.

God has been soo good! Everything we are, and everything we have, comes from Him. If you are going through a tough season, remember that life itself is a blessing. The Creator has you on this earth for His purpose. He is a loving God and only means us well, He will never forsake you!

I thank God, for just being God! I thank Him each day for giving me a heart and mind to serve Him. That is a blessing! I am sold out to the King of Kings and Lord of Lord’s. There is no one greater!

Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love, for his wondrous works to the children of man! For he satisfies the longing soul, and the hungry soul he fills with good things - Psalm 107:8-9(ESV)
