Let It Fall

I have been driving around admiring the leaves on the trees this season. I love the contrast of the colors against a clear blue sky, it is breathtaking. Nature screams of the glory of the Lord, its up to us to take a moment and realize the awe of it. As most of you may have learned in elementary school, the leaves turn color because they are in the process of dying.

This cycle of nature has been reverberating in my being. The Lord has been reminding me that now is the time that He is putting some things to death in me. He is putting to death fear, anxiety, procrastination, in order that I can fulfill the next level of His Will in my life. I'm not completely excited about dying because I know that it brings another level of commitment and some uncomfortable changes. Maybe you can relate? However I know God's ways are better than my own. I have learned from experiences in my life that this is always, overwhelmingly true. You can not chose a better course in life than the one mapped out for you by the Lord.

The LORD directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives - Psalm 37:23(NLT)

I want what God has for myself and my family. I want to utilize the gifts God has placed in me to use during this season. I am excited about my my husband and I serving in ministry and building a legacy of faith for our children. One day our three sons will grab this baton of faith and run and fulfill all God has for them to do. I want to impact my community more for Christ. And you know what? I believe that you want some of these things as well, or you would not be reading this blog. Submit to the process and allow God to remove the hindrances. Do not resist what God is speaking to you, whether it seems big or small. Say yes!! Don't let the devil or even yourself talk you out of whatever "it" is for you.

Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation— if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is good. As you come to him, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious, you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ...

-1 Peter 2:2-5(ESV)

When we begin to say yes to more of God in our lives we are growing into more beautifully fulfilled women. A beauty that doesn't fade... We must allow ourselves to continue being made over and over and over again. If you have sinful habits, repent, and let it fall. If its unfruitful behaviors and tendencies, let it fall!  I believe some things are falling off of you right now, in Jesus name! Together let us blossom and let our lives be a sweet fragrance to our Savior!!

Lord, Thank you for making me fresh and new each day. Reveal to me the habits and mindsets that need to fall from my life. Help me not to pick dead things back up again. I am fulfilled in your love, your joy, and your peace this day! In Jesus' name amen.

  1. Amen! Yes! I'm going to "let it fall!" All of the things in my life that hinder my growth potential have got to go! I was encouraged by this blog to allow the "daily dying" that Paul talked about to happen in my own life. He said, "I die daily." Not easy...but necessary to be the fulfilled woman God intends! Great blog!!
