Set Apart for a New Start

No matter how much I dislike it, every season of my life has times where I must set myself apart from people, places, or things. I believe, that in this season, it is critical that I tune up my skills in hearing GOD clearly and sensing the new direction He is taking me. It is up to us, as fulfilled women, to make time for the shifting God wants to do in any area of our lives. God desires that we recognize how special and uniquely designed our purpose is, and take special care in seeking Him. Don’t you want to impact our world for His glory?! I do! And I believe you do too.

As we start a new year, I am excited to dig deeper and lay hold of the next level of work God has for me to do right now. I believe these three steps will help you and I set the tone for the rest of your year:

Consecration is setting ourselves apart, so that God’s perfect will becomes established. This is a special time of excitement and preparation for what is to come. Often, we may only focus on what we have to lay down or sacrifice in the process. But I believe consecration’s purpose is to empower and excite us for the greater that lies ahead!!!

Don’t procrastinate, don’t second guess yourself, don’t peek over to the left or right! Make your decision and stick with it. God honors when we are committed to the work of enriching and building His kingdom through our gifts and talents.

Do the Work!
Nothing happens in our careers by osmosis, and it’s no different in our relationship with our Lord and Savior. God has a work for you to do, but you must put effort into it DAILY. I cannot stress enough that a life lived for Christ must be nurtured each and every day. Make a new schedule. Find the training. Begin studying. God has invested so much in me and in you. Let’s not do the Lord a disservice by not executing His Will in the earth. Have faith! The power of the Holy Spirit will fuel you with passion, provide grace, and help you to “push out” what God wants to be birthed in and thru you to bless others. My prayer is that this year, God will establish His plan solidly in our hearts and minds. Go forth and do a mighty work!!!

And may the Lord our God show us his approval and make our efforts successful. Yes, make our efforts successful! -Psalm 90:17

So, neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, BUT ONLY GOD, who makes things grow.
–1Corinthians 3:7
