Seek … To Save!

The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, And he who wins souls is wise. -Proverbs 11:30

One of my prayers is how to reach those who only know Jesus as Savior and not as LORD; to help others realize that they can live beyond a lifestyle of “coping,” to living a fulfilled life in Christ. However, having this fulfilled life requires being intentional, totally dependent upon, and most importantly, fully surrendered to, God.

When I’m asked, “How are you doing Robyn?” I usually reply, “I’m good.” My response is almost never a result of my circumstances being completely good. Rather, I make a choice daily to depend on God to bring about His desired outcome. Another important part of this process is utilizing every possible resource God provides for us.

My heart has been grieved over this past week’s shooting in a Florida high school. I am challenged to seek God more, not just for myself, but also for my extended family, friends, and my community that needs to be impacted by an authentic relationship with Jesus.

We cannot stand by, and allow ourselves to become desensitized to what is going on around us in our society! We must seek God and reach out to bring others with us!! This is not an option, it’s a mandate! When the enemy comes roaring, we are empowered to rise above him! I implore you not to ignore the gruesome realities we see each day in our current society. Instead, seek to retain a proper perspective in Christ. Because in Christ, we always have the victory!

Here’s How to “Up Your Game”

• Utilize your God given tools …daily.
• Stay steadfast in individual and family prayer and devotions, personal and corporate worship.
• Join a small group/fellowship with other sisters/families that are in Christ.
• Write a daily Confession (declare the Word of God over your personal life/situations).

Allow these things to become a habitual part of your lifestyle. As God transforms us, my prayer is that God will allow others, not just to see the change in us, but to be drawn to the God in us. We must draw others to Christ with our lives, and be willing to find ways to interact with those who are hurting, dying, and just barely hanging on, so that they too can live fulfilled.

My writings are not aimed at making Christian women more comfortable in their faith. It is my goal to push myself, and others “out of the box.” We must be diligent in continuing to seek God in every way He tells us to. And in doing so, we will inevitably reach the lost who desperately need to be saved!!!

So, as God’s own chosen people, who are holy [set apart, sanctified for His purpose] and well-beloved [by God Himself], put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience [which has the power to endure whatever injustice or unpleasantness comes, with good temper] – Colossians 3:12

  1. “Seek to Save!” Loved this blog! I too long to impact those around me with the gospel of Jesus Christ. May God grant us wisdom in this dark world to truly be His lights!
